Most airlines allow only 7kg free carry-on luggage. Check-in baggage is usually not included in standard tickets or packages unless specifically stated.

2026 carry-on & checked baggage policy

Carry-on Allowance
  • 2 pieces total: 1 cabin bag + 1 small bag, combined max 7 kg.
  • Xtra Carry-On upgrade available — increases combined limit to 14 kg.
Checked Baggage (by Fare Type)
  • Low Fare (Standard): 0 kg — no free checked allowance.
  • Value Pack / Premium Flex: 20 kg included.
  • Premium Flatbed: 40 kg included.

Safety rule: no single bag may exceed 32 kg. Overweight items must be repacked into separate bags or sent via cargo.

Checked baggage is a paid add-on unless the fare is bundled with a Value Pack or Premium Flex. Always check what is included before confirming your ticket.

Save on Baggage Fees

Pre-booking baggage online at least 4 hours before departure can be up to 3× cheaper than paying at the airport counter.

Cebu Pacific (CEB)

Carry-on Allowance
  • 1 main bag (max 7 kg) + 1 small personal item that fits under the seat.
  • Strictly enforced — digital scales at gates; overweight bags are charged an Airport Baggage Fee and moved to the hold.
Pre-purchased Checked Baggage
  • Available in 20 kg or 32 kg increments.
  • Maximum: 2 pieces of 32 kg each (64 kg total per passenger).
  • Go Basic fares do not include any free checked baggage.

Sports equipment (surfboards, bicycles, golf clubs) must be booked separately as Sports Equipment — cannot be deducted from standard prepaid baggage weight.

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

Carry-on Allowance
  • 1 main cabin bag (max 7 kg) + 1 small personal item.
  • Dimensions: must not exceed 56 × 36 × 23 cm (22 × 14 × 9 in).
  • Personal items: small handbag, pocketbook, laptop bag, or duty-free shopping bag.
Domestic Checked Baggage (by Fare Family)
  • Economy Supersaver: 0 kg — no free allowance.
  • Economy Saver: 10 kg.
  • Economy Value / Flex: 20 kg.
  • Premium Economy: 25 kg.
  • Business Class: 30–35 kg (route-dependent).
  • Basco (Batanes): strictly capped at 10 kg for Economy due to aircraft weight limits.
International Checked Baggage
  • US / Canada / Guam: usually 2 pieces at 23 kg (50 lbs) each for Economy.
  • Asia / Australia / Middle East: 30–40 kg total depending on fare class.

PAL uses the Weight Concept for Domestic/Asia routes and the Piece Concept for US/Canada/UK routes.
